Wow - it's really coming together!
Tomorrow I will be picking up the team jerseys, vests and hats at Niko Apparel - a locally-based custom clothing designer. We are really excited about the work they are doing!
Team rider Mel was over there the other day looking at some custom clothing and spotted the back side of our jersey being sewn together...so exciting - the colours are brilliant and we are pretty pumped!
I will be hitting the streets decked out in the jersey on Good Friday at the annual Hamilton Cycling Club Good Friday Road Race at 9am this week!

It's for real!
Wow - only days away from officially announcing the team and officially announcing our Women's Learn to Race Camp! I'm so excited! Pretty wonderful stuff.
I think this is really a dream come true for me. I raced for eight glorious seasons, three of which happened to be with the Canadian National Team. It was incredible. I travelled, I saw the world, I raced my butt off and I realized that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
I'm excited to introduce the world of women's competitive cycling to a brand new audience of people - through the Eat-Clean Diet's Kitchen Table online community, through the SPOT Adventures website, through the Gears Girls Cycling Club, through our filming adventures with RaceDayRush.com and even the Cycling4Women.ca audience and readers, and additionally through the people we meet and inspire along the way!
This year is and will be a whole bunch of firsts! I'm really excited that the team is here to support these wonderful women who are facing their fears and competing this year - despite having full-time jobs, families and a whole wack of things to do - they still managed to train hard all winter and prepare for a season of racing!
So exciting! I can't wait to have you all here to read along as we all face our fears and put the pedal to the medal (er, pedal to the crank, er...help me out here!)
Thanks for everyone's support. This team wouldn't exist without the support of friends and family members (you know who you are) as well as our six wonderful sponsors this year: The Eat-Clean® Diet, e load, SPOT, Hoo-Ha Ride Glide™, Gears Girls, and RaceDayRush.com.
We have an exciting year ahead of us - can't wait to bring you along for the ride!
Thank you.
